Height 25 mm (0.98 inch), diameter of rim 119 mm (4.69 inch), diameter of footring 65 mm (2.56 inch)

Teacup and saucer on footrings, moulded sides and straight scalloped underglaze brown-edged rims (jia mangkou). Ploychrome decorated in underglaze dark blue, iron-red, black, gold and other overglaze enamels with a riverscape with pagodas trees and a bridge encircled by an eight pointed scalloped medallion. With respect to the decoration and dating, it is also interesting to note that the particular motif of golden lacy network against a dark blue (or other colour) background, is called caillouté (‘pebbled decoration’) and was first seen on Sèvres porcelain around the middle of the eighteenth century.
