Title: La porcelaine des Compagnies des Indes a décor Occidental

Chinese export porcelain is given the name Chine de Commande when decorated to the order of Europeans with representations provided by them, in blue and white as well as in ploychrome, from the seventeenth century onwards. There are two distinct groups: one is Chinese in shape and decoration and was only incidentally made for export, and the other which was painted with some western decorations.
